Jerald Harrison Potter's Obituary
Jerald Harrison Potter, 90, of Russell, KY, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026. Born on November 13, 1935, in Harrisburg, PA, Jerald spent much of his life in the Chesapeake, OH community, where he resided for 64 years. He enjoyed a distinguished career as a manufacturing engineer with ACF Industries, beginning in Milton, PA, before transferring to Huntington, WV. Following his retirement, he continued to share his expertise by helping establish a new manufacturing plant in Arkansas. Jerald was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Potter and his son, Michael Potter. He is survived by his daughters, Becky (Doak) Russell and Debbie (Jim) Adkins; his grandchildren, James (Amber) Adkins, Alicia (Jesse) Adkins, Zacc (Elizabeth) Russell, Ian (Maddie) Russell, Evan (Hannah) Russell, and his great-grandchildren, J.J. and Kinley Anderson, and Pieper, Livvie, Smith, Dane, Walker, and Wade Russell. An avid hunter and fisherman, Jerald found his greatest joy outdoors. He cherished sharing his love of hunting, fishing, and nature with his grandchildren, creating memories and traditions that will be treasured for generations. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, love of family, and passion for the outdoors. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Liverpool, PA. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH, is assisting the family.
