Jerry L. Buffington, 77, of Chesapeake, OH, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. He was born on November 1, 1947, in Keith, WV, to the late Theodore and Delta Buffington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth Elswick, Nancy Dennison, Melvin Toney, Pete Toney, Faye Rush, Junior Buffington, Jackie Buffington, Loretta Hapney, Dorothy Chapman, Eleanor Sue Walker, and Denvil Buffington. He is survived by his wife Rebecca Buffington; son Alexander O. (Lori) Buffington; granddaughters, Meranda Jade, Sydnee Paige, and Rebekah Mae “Gracie” Buffington; and his siblings, Wanda D. (Bob) Buffington and Rena (Richard) Lane. Funeral Service will be held at 1 P.M. Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH. Burial will follow the service at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
