Jerry Ray Christian, Sr.'s Obituary
Jerry Ray Christian, Sr, 82, of Scottown, OH, passed away on Tuesday, April 9th, 2024, in St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born July 31, 1941, in Lawrence County, Ohio son of the late Roscoe and Arzena Christian. Also preceding him in death were his five brothers, Cloyde, Lee, David, Garland, and Dennis Christian; and one sister Nancy. He is survived by his wife, Mary Christian; a son, Jerry Christian Jr.; a special friend, Jewlie Vance; grandchildren; Kacie Christian Mullins and Kody Christian; two sisters Betty Christian and Evelyn Giles; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other friends and family. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam War Veteran, and Member of American Legion #177, Barboursville. He had worked as a welder. A military graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Locust Grove Cemetery, Willow Wood, Ohio with Pastor Luke Taylor officiating. The military rites will be conducted by Proctorville V.F.W. Post 6878. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.
