Hearing this news has got to be one of the most saddest days of my life. Uncle Jerry was one of those people that could put you in a good mood no matter how you were feeling that day. He didn't even have to say anything. Just his look alone was enough to comfort you or even get you cracking up. I will never forget 'Bulldog'. Aunt Phyllis, Susie, Allen, and Tim, I am so sorry for this terrible loss. My thoughts are with you and all the family. I sorry I am unable to be there but I am thinking of you always (always have and always will). Aunt Phyllis, I am having Mom give you an extra big hug from me to you. I love you and I am so sorry for this loss. Uncle Jerry was able to strike a conversation with anyone, and I do mean anyone. You may had been a stranger when you first met, but by the time the conversation was over, you'd made a great friend. When Uncle Jerry got happy, excited, and telling a joke, he'd get louder and louder by the second. I blame my humor and my storytelling on him. My Mom and Dad would tell me all the time that I tell stories just like him. He was passionate about making people laugh. When you hear him cracking up at his own jokes, you couldn't help at how funny the story would be. Uncle Jerry was a role model for me. He was someone I looked up to so much. He gave some of the greatest advice as well as a comforting shoulder to cry on. When you hurt, he would hurt with you. When you would laugh, he'd make you laugh that much harder. Words aren't nearly enough to express just how much this pains me. When Mom and Dad would say we are gonna go visit Uncle Jerry and Aunt Phyllis, I couldn't wait to leave and go see them. When you'd talk with them, it was like watching a comedy show. They'd tell jokes to each other and get them cracking up which would cause you to crack up right along with them. I will miss him everyday. Sincerely with Love, Eric and Kristy Phillips and family.
