Jerry Gordon McIntyre, Sr., 79, of Scottown, Ohio, my loving husband of 56 years is now with his loving mother in Heaven. She is taking care of him until I get there. Jerry passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV with me and his children by his side. He was an Army veteran, a minister, former Chief of Police in Proctorville, Ohio and a supervisor at A.C.F. Industries. He was born August 16, 1940 in Huntington, WV. The cause of death was heart failure. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Virgie and Otis McIntyre; his sister Eloise Conley; and two grandsons Eric and Erin Pratt. Jerry is survived by his wife, Karen of Scottown, Ohio; three children Robin (Ray) Schneider of Chesapeake, Ohio, Jerry McIntyre, II of Scottown, Ohio and Christopher (Rhonda) McIntyre of Huntington, WV; five grandsons Doug, Jerrod and Andy Pratt, Dakota Terry and Ethan McIntyre; three granddaughters Andrea, Kierston and Faith McIntyre all of whom will miss him dearly; eight great grandchildren Haley, Natalie, Justin, Ryder, Payton, Avery, Jayden and Riley; and one sister Ann Sowards of Seattle, Washington. Jerry wishes were to be cremated and a private family memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital.
