Jerry Randolph Thompson's Obituary
Jerry Randolph Thompson, 80, of Chesapeake, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at home. He was born March 20, 1941 in Huntington, WV son of the late Vernon and Georgia Murphy Thompson. Also preceding in death was one daughter, Rhonda Lucas; two brothers Larry and Gary Thompson; and one sister Janie Rucker. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Lisa Smith Thompson; one son Randy (Sara) Thompson; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends; and loving dog Zoe. Jerry was a member of Christ Temple Church, retired from Verizon Telephone and worked as a door greeter at Sams Club. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2021, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
