Jimmie Dale Hardy's Obituary
Jimmie Dale Hardy, 76, was called home on Saturday Dec. 14th to join the love of his life, Linda Gail. They shared 54 years together on this Earth dancing through life. He is now joining her on the shores of Heaven for another dance to their favorite song, “Can I Have this Dance for the Rest of my Life”. Jimmie was born May 16, 1949, to the late James and Lou Hardy. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Linda Gail Hardy, one granddaughter Chloe Hardy and one sister Erma Moore. He is survived by 2 sons Jimmie (Missy) Hardy of Crown City, Ohio and Jon (Maggie) Hardy of Gallipolis Ferry, WV; 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a special sister-in-law Sandra Casey; special friends Mike Ross, Chestle St. Clair, Phil Sperry, Jerry and Judy Daniels; and many nieces and nephews that he loved. When you seen Jimmie, you could always count on a hug and a kind word. He always made others feel special. Jimmie was the most selfless and devoted dad and papaw who put his family above all else. Jimmie was a retired firefighter giving 28 years of service to the City of Huntington and also worked alongside his wife and 2 sons at their family-owned business Awnings By Us. He was an avid hunter and made many memories on hunting trips with his wife, boys and grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, with Dustin Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 PM at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at https://ehallfuneralhome.com.
