Jimmie Jack Rowe's Obituary
Jimmie Jack Rowe, 78, of Chesapeake, Ohio went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. He proudly served his country Air Force during Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Hazel Rowe; brothers Billy Ray (Martha) Rowe and Don Rowe; and sister Jo (Donald) Adkins. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bonnie Rowe; two sons Mike (Susan) Rowe of Mechanicsville, VA and Tim (Beth) Rowe of St. Paris, Ohio; a daughter Lisa (Rick) Morris of Proctorville, Ohio; grandchildren Aaron (Ali) Rowe, Chris Rowe, Tara and Kyle Sutherland, Timothy (Casie) Rowe, Garret (Angela) Rowe, Ryan (Lexy)Rowe, Jordan Rowe, Ryan (Sammie) Wheeler and Alli Penix; eleven great grandchildren with two more on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Those who knew him knows that he always put God and his family first. He always had a smile and a hug for everyone. He was a retired truck driver. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church where he has served as Sunday School Superintendent, Teacher, Deacon and Choir Director. He loved to watch and Cheer for "his girls on the Lady Dragons Basketball Team. He leaves behind an amazing testimony. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Proctorville V.F.W. Post 6878 will conduct military graveside rites. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the funeral home.
