Jimmy Mac Woodyard's Obituary
Jim Mac Woodyard, 87, of Proctorville, OH, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024, surrounded by loved ones at his grandson's residence. He was born on April 5, 1937, in Lawrence County, Ohio, to the late Abraham and Iris (Burcham) Woodyard. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Geraldine Woodyard and two sisters Janet Jones and Velma Matthews. Jim graduated from Fairland High School. He served in the 3rd Armored Division of the United States Army during the Cold War and was stationed in Germany. He was also a retired electrician from AC&F. He was a proud democrat who loved to argue politics with anyone that would listen. He is survived by one sister Nancy Webb; one son Roger Woodyard (Debra Evans); two grandsons Steven (Renee) and Robert (Natalie) Woodyard; one granddaughter Melissa Woodyard; and too many great grandkids to list. The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington and the VA Staff for providing medical care. Also special thanks to Marsha Lucas and Tammy Rucker for providing care and love to Jim Mac before his death. Jim Mac is now reunited with his love Geraldine. Funeral Service will be held at 6 P.M. Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, with Pastor Pete Davis officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
