Joan Ann Bowen's Obituary
Joan Ann Bowen, 85, of Scottown, OH passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Close To Home Assisted Living in Ironton, OH. She was born March 25, 1938 in Chicago, IL to the late John and Savannah (Osterdock) Carpenter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Bowen; son, John Bowen; daughter-in-law, Kathi Bowen; grandson, Bill Dillard; one brother, Jack Carpenter; one sister, Gloria Plese and great grandson, Silas Lee. Those left to cherish her memory are son, Don Bowen of Scottown, OH; daughter-in-law, Barbara Bowen; daughter-in-law and caregiver, Bobby Bowen; six grandchildren, Rebekkah (Graham) Leitner, Adam (Amanda) Bowen, Donnie Bowen, Bryan Dillard, Cheryl McGuire and Anthony McGuire; ten great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside service held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday October 11, 2023 at Good Hope Cemetery. Hall Funeral Home & Crematory in Proctorville, OH is assisting the family.
