Joey Michael Williams' Obituary
Joey Michael Williams, 66, of Greenup, Kentucky, passed away on September 17, 2025, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland Kentucky. Born on March 27, 1959, he remained deeply rooted in the community that shaped his life. Joey proudly served his country as a tank operator in the United States Army. His time in the military reflected the same strength and determination that defined him throughout his life. Known for being as stubborn as they come, Joey also had a heart as big as his will—he would give the shirt off his back to someone in need and was always there when it mattered most. A devoted father, grandfather and a tireless worker, Joey was admired for his unwavering dedication to those he loved. He was one of the best friends anyone could ask for—steadfast, loyal, and always ready with a helping hand or a listening ear. He was a man of many trades, from bridge building to long haul trucking, construction and everything in between. He is survived by his sister Mary Ann (Arthur) McGlone; brother Edward Williams; daughters; Jona (Charles) Horsley and Aimee(Kenneth) Adams; son Michael Williams; grandchildren Lathan(Lejeya) Adams, Noah Adams, and Maegan Quillen; great-grandson Ethan Wells and great-granddaughter Lunaria Adams. He also leaves behind a special friend, Mary Jane Gray, along with multitudes of nieces, nephews, cousins, and others whose lives he touched. Joey was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Mary Williams and brothers David Williams and Mark Williams. May Joey’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him and serve as a lasting reminder of loyalty, love, and resilience. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com.
