Johanna Dempsey, 70, of Huntington, WV, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Cornerstone Hospital, Huntington, WV, She was born on October 6, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late James and Dorothy Irvin Dempsey. She was also preceded in death by Vicky Crowe. She retired from Cabell Huntington Hospital where she worked as an RN for 20 years. She also worked at Mariner Nursing Home for 7 years. She was a member of Central Church of Nazarene. She is survived by one son Patrick Dempsey of Huntington, WV; one sister Jessica Dillon of South Point, OH; brothers James Dempsey Jr. of Whitesburg, GA, Jeffrey Dempsey of Uniontown, PA, and John Dempsey of Jacksonville, NC; one niece; six nephews; and many special cousins and friends. Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, with Pastor Ronnie Adams officiating the service.
