John Garland Blake, Jr. 1941 - 2017
John Garland Blake, Jr., 75, of Huntington, WV passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. He was born November 9, 1941 in Huntington, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents John, Sr and Faye Farley Blake. He is survived by two children John, III (Mary Beth) Blake of Louisville, Ky and Stephanie (Daniel) Roberts of Beaufort, SC; one grandson Scott (Diana) Thompson; one great granddaughter Joyce Thompson; two brothers T. Steven (Carolyn) Blake of Cleveland, Ohio and Robert (Alta) Blake of Lorain, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He retired from Huntington Police Department and also served on the police department at Tri-State Airport. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the funeral home.
