John Michael "Mike" Curry's Obituary
John Michael "Mike" Curry, 75, of Chesapeake, OH, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at his home. He was born on February 20, 1946, in Huntington, WV, to the late Leonard and Goldie Curry, also of Chesapeake, OH. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Janet Fuller and Sue Vickers and brothers Larry Curry and Bob Curry. John is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Gloria Bullock Curry and his son Jeff (Kari) Curry of South Point, OH. He is also survived by two grandchildren Brett Curry of Jackson, OH, and McKenna (John) Turley of South Point, OH; one great grandchild Barrett Jaxon Turley; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was retired from American National Rubber, was a Union Township Trustee, and a Chesapeake School Board Member. He played college basketball at Morris Harvey College where he was inducted into The Hall of Fame in 2017. He was also in the Chesapeake Hall of Fame. Funeral Service will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, with Bobby Hamlin officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oaklawn Cemetery, Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com.
