John K. (John-John) Goodwin 1971 - 2017
John K. (John-John) Goodwin, age 46, died peacefully at home after a hard fought battle with melanoma. He is survived by his loving wife Jerrie Goodwin and son Justin Goodwin, and our very special God Son Logan. Also his loving parents Barbara Sue Stormes and John P. Goodwin, Brothers Larry (Deana) Goodwin and Rob Leibee. Nephews Jack Goodwin, Brooks Leibee, and Zachary Triplett, niece Meagan Joseph and special nephew in-law Josh Joseph. Also special mother in-law Brenda Triplett, sister in-law Gena (Scott) Royce, brother in-law Jim (Jen) Triplett, father in-law James (Linda) Triplett. John is also survived by his co-worker in prevention of 18 years Molly Stevens and our adopted children Grace (Kim) Seward and Johnna (Clayton) Seward, and Kara Spencer. John also leaves behind an extended much loved Marine family, GOLF Company 2/9 which includes Golf sister Donna Heikens, as well as Al Kennedy, Jim Maddox, and Ron Bowen. There are many aunts, uncles, friends, and neighbors who reached out that I want to thank also. And a special thank you to Johns long time friend James (Cathy) Kerns. A celebration of Johns life will be held on Sunday, November 5th, from 1pm -4pm at the community building where John spent the last 18 years working with the children of our community. The address is 624 South 9th Street , Ironton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers we are requesting donations for a scholarship fund being started in Johns name. Donation can be given to Jerrie Goodwin or Molly Stevens and/or mailed to P.O. Box 809 South Point, Ohio, 45680.
