Thoughts and prayers for your family during this very difficult time. We so sorry for your loss. With deepest sympathy.

John was a wonderful colleague and a dear friend. I worked with him for 30 years in bridge department and thoroughly enjoyed the time. He was always cool. We will pray for peace to his soul. C.J and Nayana Shah

John was a brilliant man with a mind like an encyclopedia and a kind and patient heart. I didn't know him well personally but I do remember his patience with me as a green EI in the engineering world. I will miss our conversations and the historical background that he gave to every inquiry and request. May the good Lord bless his family and welcome him home. John 16:33 Sean W. Campbell

My condolences to Elaine, John Jr. and the entire White family. John was a kind man whom I had the pleasure of working with over the past 20 years. He was an incredible teacher/historian of all things CSX bridge and will be greatly missed.

So very sorry to learn this news. Please accept my sincere condolences. I knew John during my many years at CSXT and then became co-workers again during his tenure at STV. John was a great guy and was always ready and willing to share his wealth of RR information with whomever had need. He will be greatly missed.

Elaine, John, and Family; We are very saddened to learn of John's passing! Although we haven't seen him in a number of years, we often thought of all of you so far away! John was a good man; and, we held him in high regard! May God be with you all in this time of grief!

Saddened to hear of the news. John was a good friend and mentor to many and will be missed. His humor and enthusiasm for details will be fondly remembered.
