Johnny Ray Johnson's Obituary
Johnny Ray Johnson, 82, of South Point Ohio, passed away on Saturday, June 3,2023 in Ashland, Kentucky. He was born April 1, 1941, in Ironton, Ohio. He was the son of the late John and Alice LeMaster Johnson. He was preceded by two brothers Jimmy and Mike Johnson, one sister Carolyn Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lilly May Johnson, which was the love of his life. Also surviving is a brother, Kenny Johnson, God children Kenny and Don Collins, sister Wendy Johnson, and a special nephew Robert Johnson. His sisters Cathy Porter and Dyanna Collins who were always there for him along with special Baby Kelli Collins. Also surviving are nieces and nephews Ryan Brown, Alice and a special Nephew, Johnny Ray, Kim, Julie. Gig, Chucky, Kayla. Marry Ann, along with grand nieces and nephews Kayla Harrison, Dillon, Alex, and Chase Collins, and several others. Other surviving family members are sister in laws Loretta, Donna, Yvonne Johnson, brother-in-law George Handley and his adopted family Gary, Glenda, grandson Trent. Johnny loved to hunt, fish and working in the garden. He was an outside man. He loved going on trips and long rides with his wife Lilly. He was a member of Lake Forest for over 40 years and was Baptist by faith. Services will be held at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville on Wednesday, June 7th at 2 PM with his nephew Robbie Brown officiating. Visitation will be held an hour before the service.
