Joseph Frank Adams' Obituary
JOSEPH FRANK ADAMS, 84 years young, of South Point, OH, passed onto his heavenly home and the awaiting arms of his parents on Thursday, December 18, 2014, in St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was the son of the late Jesse Vincent, Sr., and Stella Elizabeth Szydlowski Adams. He was born February 9, 1930, in Wellsville, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his only brother, Jesse Vincent Adams, Jr. Joe is survived by his soulmate and loving wife of 57 years, Ann Zani Adams, three sons, Joseph E 'Joey' Adams, and his wife, Jamie Jameson Adams, Jeffrey 'Tony' Adams, and James 'Greg' Adams; two grandsons, Michael and Corey; a great granddaughter, Alykzandra 'Allee'; a great grandson, Ikea Brown; neighbors that were adopted into the family, Julie Kinker and Erik Bergquist; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, a sister, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law. Joe was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he fought in the Korean War. He was also commissioned a Kentucky Colonel in 1972. Joe was a licensed A & P mechanic, working for TWA then moved on to general aviation where he remained until his retirement in 1997. His hobby was wood working where he made beautiful cabinetry, which was a lifelong passion. Joe will definitely be missed by his entire family, especially Allee (she loved her paw paw) and everyone that knew him. At his request, there will be no visitation or service.
