Julie Ann Henry Boone's Obituary
Julie Ann Henry Boone 1959 - 2017
Julie Ann Henry Boone,57, of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 17, 2017, in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV, surrounded by loving family. Julie was born in Gallipolis, Ohio to Brookie and Leah Henry on July 13, 1959. She was preceded in death by her mother, Leah Henry; grandmother Therma Love; and one infant child Christopher Evans. Julie is lovingly remembered by her husband, Tim Boone of Proctorville, daughters and their husbands’ Laura and Travis Parks and son, Henry, of Federal Way, WA, Megan and Tyler Godby of Proctorville, OH, father Brookie Henry of Point Pleasant, WV, sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Mike Terry of Point Pleasant, WV, niece Abbey Roberts, her husband Adam, and son Ford, of Mooresville, NC, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Teddi and Mark Smith and family of Flatwoods, KY, and many other very special family and friends. Julie, a graduate of Marshall University, had been employed with St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV since 1979, most recently serving as the SMMC Blood Bank and Hematology Supervisor. She loved her work and her colleagues and truly appreciated all the constant love and support they have shown her and her family, especially over the last several months. She enjoyed being out and about, attending wine tastings and craft nights with her girls, sister, and sister-in-law. She also enjoyed relaxing on her favorite beach or in her pool with a great book. She loved her friends dearly but her love for her husband, daughters, and grandson, will remain unmatched. Her puppies Penny, Reese, and Lily were also the lights of her life. Julie fought a courageous battle and has inspired so many to do the same along the way. As a Methodist, Julie, had a strong belief in her Lord, and believed that while we may not always understand His plan it is all a part of this beautiful journey we call life, and as a result, her faith never wavered during her brave battle. Julie’s family would like to sincerely thank the St. Mary’s staff and medical teams, including Dr. Gerrit Kimmey and the team at the SMMC Infusion Center. Her family would also like to recognize and graciously thank her very special Prayer Warriors who loved and supported her and her family every step of the way. Their love and kindness will never be forgotten and will continue to be paid forward, as we know she would have done. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made, in her name, to the Cabell County Relay for Life, in hopes that others can fight strong in their own battles, as Julie did in hers. Services to celebrate Julie’s life will be held on 11 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2017 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Entombment will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall or ehallfuneralhome.com.
