Karen Sue Legg's Obituary
Karen Sue Legg, 71, of Meadow Bluff, WV went to be with the Lord January 26, 2019. Born September 2, 1947 she was the daughter of the late Richard and Melba Carroll. She graduated with the Class of 1965 from Rainelle High School. Karen worked as a waitress in White Sulphur Springs at a restaurant originally named Granny's and since changing hands is now Cook's Country Kitchen. She spent 30 years serving her customers and considered many of them her friends. She truly loved her job, her customers, and the many coworkers she worked with over the years. Karen was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Gradie Legg, and a sister, Sharon Kay Willis of Rainelle, WV. Survivors include a son, Karl Legg of Meadow Bluff, WV; a daughter, Kimberly Legg (Steve Galloway) of Barboursville, WV; a step daughter Gwen Bowling (Jay) of White Sulphur, WV; three step sons John Counts (Sonjia) of Rogersville, TN, Charlie Counts (Tammy) of Rainelle, WV, and Dwight Counts (Rebecca) of Fort Worth, TX; a son-in-law Terry Webb (Vicki) of Meadow Bluff, WV; a brother Ronnie Carroll (Sandy) of Rupert, WV; a sister Nancy Harrington (Herold) of Norfolk, VA; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. At Karen's request there will be no formal services. The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your local Hospice organization or that you tip your waiter or waitress a little extra in remembrance of Karen and her life of serving others. There will be no services held. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.
