Karen Jean Wyatt's Obituary
Karen Jean Wyatt, resident of Huntington, WV, born in Marlinton, WV, went to be with the Lord on October 27th, 2018 at 5:50 p.m. at Cleveland Clinic. Her passing was peaceful and the staff and doctors took excellent care of Karen. She is preceded in death by her father Charles Carr, her mother Geraldine Carr, and her brother Eddie Carr, all of Marlinton, WV. She is survived by her daughters Cara Merritt (Marshall) of Huntington, Alicia Crawford (Dean) of Pedro, OH, and Amanda Wyatt of Huntington. She has two grandchildren, Caleb Merritt and Jocelyn Merritt, both of Huntington. She is also survived by her siblings Janice Gibson, Brenda Carr, and Martin Carr, all of Marlinton, WV. Karen also leaves behind several loving nieces and nephews. Karen worked at St. Marys as a nurse aide for over 30 years. She served the Lord as a member of 26th Street Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir, and was a member of the activity committee. She enjoyed spending time at the Barboursville Senior Center. She enjoyed cooking whether it was for her family, church, or friends. Her joys in life were her grandkids and spending time with her dog, Roxy. She will be missed by many friends and family whose lives she touched with her giving heart. The family will hold a service on Thursday, November 1st at 26th Baptist Church in Huntington at 6:30 p.m., welcoming visitors at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Hospice House of Huntington.
