Karla Yvonne McKenzie's Obituary
Karla Yvonne McKenzie, 69, of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away Sunday May 29, 2022 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV. She was the loving Gigi, mom, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her husband Daren Ray McKenzie; daughter Meg McKenzie-Butler; son Michael Adkins; grandson Joey; sibling Phyllis Wallace (Sam), Monte Porter (Marianne), and Cherie Swann. She was born May 26, 1953 in Milton, WV to the late Robert and Gloria Johnson Porter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Roger (Sharon) Porter, her twin Marla Adkins, Carol Pullen, Betty Jane Porter, Greta Porter-Adkins, and Robert William Porter; and two stepchildren Regina and J.D. McKenzie. Karla had a large number of nieces and nephews that she loved with all her heart. She was an active member of Proctorville VFW Post #6878 Ladies Auxiliary. She was an amazing Gigi, mom, wife, sister, aunt, and friend. She dedicated her life to helping people and even more so after retirement. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday June 4, 2022 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio.
