Kathy Darlene Huff's Obituary
Kathy D. Huff (Barker) 63, of Huntington, WV, passed away at home on December 22, 2023 following a long illness. Kathy was born in Beckley, WV, on January 2, 1960 to parents George W. Barker and Patricia S. Prichard and was the eldest of her 4 siblings. She was a long time resident of the Coal City WV area and was both well known and loved by many in the community. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Family that preceded her in death include her parents; son, Timothy "Adam" Atwood, and brother, George "Uncle G" Barker, all also of Coal City. Survivors include her Kameron T. Lambert (33) and his partner, Terry Townsend (41) of Chesapeake, OH; sister, Linda S. Wood and brother Lloyd "Ed" Wood both of Marion V.A.; nieces, Savannah Barker of Orangeburg S.C., and Rachael "Anna" Kuhlman of Charlotte N.C.;nephew, Mark Wood of Marion V.A.;granddaughter, Kayla Atwood and partner, Joel Garcia Jr. of Beckley, and great-grandson, Julien Garcia also of Beckley. She also had a large number of "special children" in her life whom she also loved dearly including Joseph "Pettie" Slate, Mary "Smiley" Farley, Alicia Houck-Cline, and Abigail Gunnoe. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH is assisting the family with cremation arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that anyone interested please make a donation to St.Judes Childrens Hospital in her memory.
