Kaye Grimmett's Obituary
Kaye Grimmett was born on November 5th, 1952, at Logan General Hospital in Logan, West Virginia, to Vada and Everett Wilson. Kaye graduated from Man High School in Man, West Virginia, in 1970. She then attended college at Marshall University where she earned her Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Special Education. Kaye started and ended her career helping people with varying developmental and intellectual disabilities. She retired as an Early Intervention Specialist from the Lawrence County, Ohio, Board of Developmental Disabilities. In retirement, Kaye moved to Hilton Head Island, SC, before moving back to Lawrence County, Ohio, to be closer to friends and family. She passed away in her home on August 12, 2025. She leaves behind a son, a “second” son, a sister, aunts, uncles, multiple cousins, nieces, nephews, several close friends, and her loving dog, Bennie. Not to be left out, she has also left behind her love and affection for musician, Michael McDonald. There will be no viewing or funeral services per Kaye’s request. In lieu of this, the family will hold a celebration of life at her home on a later date.
