Kayle Marie Stubbs' Obituary
Kayle Marie Stubbs, 24, of Huntington, WV, passed away peacefully after a long battle with illness on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH. Born on March 12, 2002, in Daytona Beach, FL, she was the daughter of Timothy Stubbs and Jamie Marie McClain. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mary Choma and James McClain; cousin, James McClain, and uncle, Bruce Adkins. Kayle touched the hearts of everyone she met and could brighten anyone’s day. She liked sitting in her hammock and talking to people in the neighborhood. She loved to cook and bake and enjoyed her job at Sodexo at Marshall University. Kayle had a bubbly and witty personality and was always smiling and making jokes. She was a natural at making others feel good about themselves. She will be remembered for her beautiful, old soul. Kayle is survived by her mother, Jamie McClain and Forest Johnson; her beloved rabbit, Hopper, whom she affectionally referred to as her “Ride or Die”; aunts, Jeanie Adkins and Julie McClain; uncle, Jimmy (Chasity) McClain; special cousins, Cheyanne Roth, Mandy Roth, Jade Roth, Jace Marks, and Joanie Marks, and her special friends who were like family at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, and Goodwill Industries of KYOWVA Area in Huntington. A Celebration of Kayle’s Life will be held at a later date. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH, is assisting the family with arrangements.
