Kelvyn Douglas Melton's Obituary
Kelvyn Douglas Melton, 21, of Huntington, WV, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 20, 2022. Douglas was born October 14, 2001. He attended Cabell Midland High School from 2016-2020 where he played on the Knights football team. Kelvyn was in the Army National Guard unit Delta TRP 5-15 CAV. He did his training in Fort Benning, GA and was in Bravo Troop 1-150th CAV at the time of his passing. Douglas was preceded in death by his mother, Brandie Rae Worden and his grandfather, Scott Vegas Carter and cousin, Sarah Napier. He leaves behind many loving family members; his brothers, Steven Melton, Trae Wilder and Justice Palmer; sister, Symphony Foster; grandmother, Tomma Carter; father, Steven Melton; aunt, Andrea Napier (Shawn Clay); uncle, Chad Worden (Kimberly Johnston); cousins, Michael Clay, Chassidy Clay, Nathaniel Clay, Justin Clay, Sarah Warden, Bethany Warden; great uncle, Chuck Napier and his children Allison Albright (Blake) and Brian Napier; great uncle, Mark Napier (Kathleen) and their children, Sarah, in Heaven and Jeremy Napier (Sharon) and their children Josiah, Judah, Joshuah; Jason Napier (Casey) and their children Noah, Lilly and Hallie Napier. A funeral service will be held at noon on Monday, November 28, 2022 at Pea Ridge Baptist Church 5945 East Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, WV with burial to follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service, also at the church. Hall Funeral Home & Crematory in Proctorville, OH is assisting the family.
