Kenneth Charles Morris' Obituary
Kenneth Charles Morris passed away February 6, 2026 at Woodlands Assisted Living. Kenneth was born June 7, 1935 in Gay, West Virginia, the son of the late Virgil and Orlie Morris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by all ten of his siblings: Dorothy, Glenva, Ruth, Ruby, Edgar, Edsel, Ayward, Eleanor, Janet, and Keith.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lulabelle Kelly Morris, and two sons, Douglas (Linda) Morris and Christopher (Tammy) Morris; grandchildren, Brittany Morris, Kelly Morris, Amanda (Brian) Kushniroff, and Bobbi (Chris) Reed; Great-Grandchildren, Bailey, Raegan, and Josi; and, Great-Great Grandchildren, Aubrey, Easton, Zoey, and Zain. He is also survived by many Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
In 1990, Colonel Kenneth Charles Morris was transferred to Retired Reserve from the West Virginia Army National Guard after 32 years of service.
In 1992, Kenneth retired from Appalachian Power Company after 39 years.
Much of this dual career working life was spent in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, where he was a Boy Scouts Scoutmaster, a city councilman, and Governor of the Moose Lodge.
After transferring to Barboursville, West Virginia, he completed a college degree from the University of Charleston.
Upon early retirement, he and Lulabelle spent time on his farm in Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia, traveling with the Harvest Club, and a variety of classes and home improvements.
He attended Pea Ridge United Methodist Church.
Services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Hall’s Funeral Home in Proctorville, Ohio, with visitation at 11am and Funeral Service at Noon. In lieu of graveside services, a Memorial service will be held at a later date. Condolences may be expressed to the family at https://ehallfuneralhome.com.
