She was born on August 20, 1980, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of Dawn Drown. She is survived by her son Nate Goodwin, Huntington, WV, her daughter Donna Cornell, Huntington, WV, sister (Jonathan) Kerra Myers-Sowards, El Paso, TX, sister (Brent) Hannah Parsons, Point Pleasant, WV, nephews Rocky Hester II, Jace Myers-Sowards, Jackson Parsons, niece Bryclee Myers-Sowards, and close friend Alex Gibbs, Point Pleasant, WV. Krissa was a graduate of Spring Valley High School, Class of 1999. She was employed by Captain Ds in Huntington and was a member of Tucker Memorial Baptist Church in Huntington. She quickly made friends everywhere she went and her ability to make people laugh was one of her biggest strengths. She opened her heart and her home to anyone who needed a safe place or a kind word. Krissa fought hard to overcome difficulties in her life and was very proud of her accomplishments. Her greatest accomplishment was her relationship with her Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ. Krissa loved writing and had journals filled with stories from most of her life. She loved poetry, singing, arts and crafts with her children, drawing, reading (especially her Bible), and above all, helping people in the recovery field. She enjoyed spending time with her children and her mom and missed her little sister, niece and nephews so much. She loved spending hours talking with Kerra on the phone, catching up, and sharing accomplishments and dreams.
