Kristie Ferris McKenzie's Obituary
Kristie Ferris McKenzie, 44, of Proctorville, OH, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023. She was born August 24, 1978 in Huntington, WV to Larry and Jennifer (Rader) Ferris. She was a 1996 graduate of Fairland High School and attended Huntington Junior College 1998-1999. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Oddie and Audrey Ferris and Harry and Ruth Rader. In addition to her parents, she is survived by brothers, Larry Ferris Jr. (wife Jill and their children Elizabeth and Ben) and Mark Ferris (wife, April and their son, Hunter); several aunts, uncles and cousins and her daughter, Audrey McKenzie, the love of her life, which she adored with every breath. She was her greatest achievement in life. From the moment Audrey was born, Kristie showed a real mothers love, took care of her and saw that she had everything she need. She sacrificed to make everything happen. Kristie was a loving daughter and sister, kindhearted, and would give to anyone and help anyone. Kristie, our hearts are broken. Life will never be the same without you. Life beat you down. I am so sorry for that but I know that you are at peace. Jesus sent his angels to carry you home. Until we are together again, you'll be in our hearts forever. There will be a graveside service held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Rome Cemetery in Proctorville, OH officiated by Pastor Greg Tomlinson. There will be no visitation.
