Lakin Curtis Nichols' Obituary
Lakin Curtis Nichols, 16, of Proctorville, OH, passed away on Sunday January 22, 2023, at Cabell Huntington Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.
Lakin was preceded in death by his mother, Misty Ratliff; paternal great grandparents, Bob and Linda Estep; paternal grandfather, Ron Nichols; paternal great grandparents Curtis and Shirley Nichols.
He is survived by his father, Monty (Jaimee) Nichols; four sisters Britney Nance, Ciera Nichols, Lexis Eldridge, and Hailey (Michael) Morgan; one brother, Isaiah (Jennifer) Eldridge; paternal grandparents, Brent (Beverly) Jeffers; Uncle, Travis Jeffers and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family.
Lakin was a former student at Chesapeake School District and was currently attending Fairland High School as a sophomore. Lakin loved listening to music, fishing, hunting, swimming, and playing video games. He especially loved working and doing all of his favorite activities with his Papaw Brent. Lakin was the type of person who would always offer to help anyone in need. Even as his life was ending Lakin continued giving being an organ donor. He can continue his generous spirit by giving someone else a chance to go on and live a better, fuller life.

The services will be officiated by Pastor Justin Berry. The funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday January 26, 2023, with burial to follow at Rome Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, Ohio.
