Lance "Dale" Broughton's Obituary
Lance Dale Broughton, 67, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Community Care Center, Ashland, Ky. He was born August 27, 1949 in Ironton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father Chester Broughton, Jr. and his sister Karen Sue Broughton. He was a retired cross country pipeliner and also retired from Columbia Gas. He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War and was awarded two bronze stars for bravery in combat. He was a member of the Chesapeake American Legion. He is survived by his wife Donna Ash Broughton; his mother Dorothy Mays Broughton; one son Michael Lee (Gayle) Broughton of South Carolina; three grandchildren McKenzie Broughton, Logan Broughton and Madison Broughton;two step sons James E. 'Ed' (Dena) Lewis of Huntington, Wv and Donald Lewis; three step grandchildren Hunter, Madi and McKenzie; and special cousins Craig Hughes and Sharon Latka. A graveside service will be held 1 pm Friday, December 9, 2016 at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar, Wv with Rev. Larry Carey officiating. There will be no visitation.
