Leatrice Jane Thomas' Obituary
Leatrice Jane Thomas, 90, of Ashland, KY, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at home. She was born on November 23, 1934, in Catlettsburg, KY, to the late Hubert and Gladys Bowman Helton. She was also preceded in death by grandson Alexander Ward; son Jesse H. Ward; daughter-in-law Celeste Ward; and two sisters Sheila Renfroe and Treva Groves. She retired from Merck Pharmacy in Columbus, OH. She is survived by one daughter Julia (Jeffery) Pemberton of South Point, OH; two sons James A. Ward III of South Point, OH, and John (Patricia) Helton of Los Angeles, CA; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; one stepdaughter Kelly (Craig) Kohl of Columbus, OH; two stepsons Steve (Lori) Thomas and Scott Thomas both of Columbus, OH; six step-grandchildren; one step great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no services held. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com
