Leo Scarberry's Obituary
Leo Edward Scarberry, 90, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born February 8, 1928 in Lawrence County, Ohio son of the late Grover and Georgia Faulkner Scarberry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rudella Wilgus Scarberry; two brothers Russell and Clifford Scarberry; and one grandson Christopher Alan Scarberry. Leo was a simple and humble man who enjoyed serving his community. He was a member of Rome Church of Christ and retired from the United States Post Office. Leo was also a World War II Navy Veteran. He is survived by one daughter Cheryl Burcham of Proctorville, Ohio; one son Alan (Addie) Scarberry of South Point, Ohio; three grandchildren Michelle Hewitt, Danielle Maynard, and Evan Burcham; seven great grandchildren; and several other loving family members, dear friends, and his Proctorville McDonald's Buddies. The family extends a special thank you to Leo’s second family at The Wyngate Community, Proctorville, Ohio. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Proctorville VFW Post 6878 will conduct military rites. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2018 at the funeral home.
