Leslie Clayton Wilks' Obituary
Leslie Clayton Wilks, 50, of Ironton, OH, passed away Monday, March 11, 2024, at St. Mary's Medical Center Ironton Campus. Leslie was born August 19, 1973, in Huntington, WV, a son to Wendelyn Kay Freeman of Ironton, OH and the late Paul Wilks, Sr.
Leslie was a graduate of South Point High School and worked as a self-employed contractor. Leslie was an avid pool shooter and attended the Church of Christ.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wendell and Gloria Jean Freeman and Harry and Kathlene Wilks, and good friend Johnie Hayslip.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Mayce Christian, four brothers, Paul L. (Debi) Wilks, Donny Cremeans, Chris (Sheila) Cremeans, and Clinton Cremeans. Special friends, Brian Webb and Jimmy Prather and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss him dearly.
A funeral service will take place Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home of Chesapeake, OH. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Beckner Family Cemetery.
