Lew W Sharp's Obituary
LEW WARWICK SHARP, 89, of South Point, OH, born January 25, 1926 in Pocahontas County at Onoco, WV, went to be in the Arms of his Lord and Savior October 4, 2015. He was the third child of Charlie and Ora Thompson Sharp's 14 children. Lew served in the Navy during WWII. He worked at Southern States as a youth and after the war. He married Muriel Ann Bates, June 24, 1950. He worked at Ashland Oil for 44 years as a pipefitter. He was active in community organizations like 4-H, Boy Scouts, Stepping Stones honorary member and PTA. He was a faithful worker of the Lord at the South Point, Ohio Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of almost 50 years; and three brothers, Jack, Earl, and Charles Herbert. He is survived by daughters, Robin (Ed Combs) and Rebecca Sharp; sons, Roger (Joy Booth), Ricky (Cindy Carlton Lehotan), and Randy (Christina Childers); 10 grandkids; 12 great grandkids; five sisters; five brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home in Chesapeake, OH, with funeral services at 11 AM Friday, October 9th, 2015. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point. Lew was a generous supporter of Ohio Valley University.
