Lillie Marie Stapleton's Obituary
Lillie Marie Stapleton, 100, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Thursday June 14, 2018 at home. She was born September 27, 1917 in Chesapeake, Ohio to the late James Corbett and Anise Hardy Elkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Charles "Sam" Stapleton; daughter Shelba Jean Curry; two grandchildren Sherry McMillian and Robin Curry; two great grandchildren; and seven siblings Ann Halleck, Martha Pine, Emogene Shepherd, Helen Smith, Corb Elkins, Wayne Elkins, and Dorothy Elkins. She is survived by one daughter Sharon Bryant Scott Depot, WV; one son Glen (Vickie) Stapleton of Ona, WV; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was a 1935 Chesapeake High School Graduate and retired from Armstrong Products. She was a member of Getaway Community Church. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday June 16, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Harold Hamlin and Pastor Justin Berry. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. Saturday June 16, 2018 at the funeral home. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Frances Bragg, Dr. Petraney, and Community Hospice. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Community Hospice.
