Linda Kay Bowman's Obituary
Linda Kay Bowman, 76, of Huntington, WV, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 at St. Marys Medical Center, Huntington, WV. She was born on September 11, 1943 in St. Albans, WV. She was a graduate of St. Albans High School and upon graduating, she resided in Huntington, WV until the time of her death. She was a graduate of Marshall University with a degree in Medical Coding/ Billing. She was a member of Steele Memorial United Methodist Church in Barboursville, WV. Linda was happiest when surrounded by family or participating in local charity events. She was preceded in death by her parents Shirley Turner and Olivia Hamlin Turner; husband Glendon Bowman; three sisters Ethel Adkins, Geneva Willocks, and Laverna Ruth Turner; daughter Andrea Dawn; and special nephew Jim Stapleton. She is survived by her daughter Daphne Bowman Smith, son Scott (Danielle) Bowman; five grandchildren Brittney Bowman, Cara Bowman, Caitlin Bowman, Courtney Bowman, and Dylan Bowman; four great-grandchildren Jackson Bowman, Kingston Bowman, Chloe Bradley, and Gabe Bradley; two nephews Roger Willocks and Randy Willocks; one great-nephew Dennis Lovejoy Jr,; four nieces Debi (Albert) Lovejoy; Rhonda Willocks; Robin Hill; Rachelle Sharpe; four great-nieces Sarah Harmon, Kimberley (Jer) Justice, Pamela (Matt) Purgerson, and Heather (Brian) Frazier; two great-great-nieces Sasia Justice and Ciara Justice; and companion/ special family friend Gary Cox. Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM, Friday, July 10, 2020 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH with Reverend Ellis Conley officiating. Burial will follow the service at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM, Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the funeral home.
