Linda Gail Hardy's Obituary
Linda Gail Hardy, 72, of Huntington, WV passed away on August 6, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born December 26, 1951, to the late William Arthur & Gladys Ruth Romans Brown. She was also preceded in death by an aunt Fannie Brown; one brother Charles Brown; and one brother-in-law Don Casey & one sister-in-law Erma Moore. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Jim Hardy; two sisters Sandra Casey of Huntington, WV, Rita (Harry) McCoy of Lineville, Alabama; two sons Jimmie (Missy) Hardy of Crown City, Ohio & Jon (Maggie) Hardy of Gallipolis Ferry, WV; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. She also had a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Linda was a loving wife, mother & granny where she found joy in being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Linda was compassionate & always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone she ever met. Her love & kindness made a lasting impression on all who knew her. Linda worked most of her life as a seamstress & was a retired business owner of Awnings By Us where she worked alongside her husband & 2 sons. She was an avid volunteer at Riverside Center for Disabled Persons for many years & was a member of Open Door Baptist Church. Linda loved hunting & fishing with her husband and two sons, and she also enjoyed crafting, planning special family dinners & weekend shopping with her sister Sandra. Funeral Service will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio, by Pastor Dustin Clark. Burial will follow the service at Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com.
