Linda Ruth Kendrick's Obituary
Linda Ruth (Bottoms) Kendrick, 78, Proctorville, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, in Huntington, West Virginia. She was born on September 9, 1946, in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Thomas Holt and Ruth Virginia Bottoms. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Kendrick, brother Thomas H Bottoms Jr. She retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers in Huntington, West Virginia after 30 years of service. Linda served as pianist and organist at Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church and pianist at Ridgeview Community Bible Church, Community Bible Church and Cedar Street Baptist Church. She was also actively involved with Saints Alive Choir and Lawrence County Senior Center. Linda's dedication to het faith, music, churches, and community touched many lives.She is survived by her two daughters Rebecca (Darrell) Schell of York, South Carolina, Angela (Phillip) Courtright of Ashville, Ohio; granddaughter Marissa Schell; Brother Tom (Trish) Bottoms of Proctorville, Ohio, Sister Brenda (Mark) Kash of Lesage, West Virginia. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio, with Pastors Thomas Bottoms, Brian Root, and Brady Lipscomb. The burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In leu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Bible Church-Missions fund at P.O. Box 369, Barboursville, West Virginia 25504.
