Linda Sue Murphy's Obituary
Linda Sue Hightower Murphy, 72, went to the Lord on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. She was born July 29, 1947 in Logan County, WV but resided in South Point, Ohio for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Lee and Anna Hightower; six brothers George Edward, Bill, Tom, Delmor, Ralph and Larry Hightower; and a sister Judy Hightower. She is survived by five children Harry (Lea), Mareia, Tommy and Cindy Holland, and LeAnna (Floyd) Bishop; ten grandchildren Randall (Megan) Holland, Cody and Christopher Holland, Aaron Merritt, Holly (Dalton) Fulford, Emity (David) Perry, Jamie Bishop, Jonathan, Katlyn and Becca Creed; four great grandchildren; three brothers Hugh (Stella), Charles (Joyce) and Bernard Hightower; four sisters Nellie (Leonard) Cremeans, Nora Childers, Rebecca Hightower and Betty Carroll; a special nephew Ricky “8 ball” Hightower; a special niece Billie Jo Moore; a special great niece Angie “Wild Woman” Hill; a host of family and friends; and a special sister-in-law Josephine Hightower which she thought of like a mother. The family extends a special thanks to her caregivers Yvonne Thomas and Rose Hughes. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Lung foundation. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2020 at Friendly United Baptist Church on Smith Creek Road, Salt Rock, WV. Burial will be in Baylous Cemetery, Salt Rock, WV.
