Lois Gail Holley's Obituary
Lois "Gail" Holley, 77, of Crown City, Ohio was called to her heavenly home on Saturday January 27, 2018 at St. Marys Medical Center, Huntington, WV. Gail was born October 16, 1940 in Crown City, Ohio to the late Mack D. Williams and Vesta "Pearl" Williams. She was united in marriage to Warren D. Holley on September 8, 1966. Their loved remained strong for over 51 beautiful years. Gail was a faithful, life-long member of the Crown City Wesleyan Church where she was the pianist for over 50 years. She loved Southern Gospel music; singing in the church choir, and singing with the Holley quartet. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and quiet demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, due to her love and faith in God. Her gift of hospitality was extended to many missionaries, pastors, migrant workers, evangelists, and youth whom she entertained in her home. She impacted many lives for Christ. Possessing a true servants heart, Gail faithfully cared for family and friends through cooking/baking from scratch-sewing and quilting. Gail especially loved to play games with friends and family, but she particularly loved to spend time with those who called her "mom," "mamaw,: and "grammy." She worked at Guaranty National Bank in Huntington, WV and retired from the Commercial and Savings Bank in Gallipolis, Ohio. Gail also worked at the Holzer Clinic in Proctorville, Ohio following her retirement from the bank. Gail was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Jack Williams, Donald Williams, Louise William) Swain, and Delsie Williams Burgess She is survived by her husband, Warren Holley; two nephews, Eric Burgess and George Holley Jr.; and niece Pattie Holley, who knew her as a second mom; two great nephews, Aaron and Matthew Holley, who knew her as "Mamaw Gail"; a great niece, Allison Burgess, who knew her as "Grammy"; a special close friend, Jerri Huston; and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws dear to her, but too numerous to list. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday January 30, 2018 at Crown City Wesleyan Church by Rev. Aaron Holley and Rev. George Holley. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery, Crown City, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. Tuesday January 30, 2018 at the church.
