Lona Lou Verne Scott 1926 - 2016
Lona Lou Verne Scott, 90, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away suddenly on Thursday November 10, 2016 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. She was born March 7, 1926 in Fort Gay, WV, daughter of the late Brady and Harriet Wellman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C. Calvin Scott and her five brothers Frank, Claude, Jack, Jim, and Herb Wellman. She is survived by her children Claudia (Tom) Frazee, Allen (Mimi) Scott, Jeff (Becky) Scott, and Tim (Sharon) Scott; grandchildren Sean Frazee, Scott (Jamie) Frazee, Leah Frazee, Sara (Tom) Richardson, Jeremy (Emily) Scott, and Josh Scott; step grandchildren Scott (Heather) Hall and Kaitlyn Johnson; great grandchildren Nicole, Scott, Shannon, and Ryan Frazee, Kiersten, Kylie, and Declan Frazee; step great grandchild Ella Hall; sister Wilma Walls; many nieces and nephews; caregiver Brenda Powers; and close family friend Mildred Jones. Mrs. Scott was a member of First Baptist Church of Proctorville, Ohio. She loved her flowers and was an avid quilter. She was the former Office Manager of Duling Brothers Food Brokerage of Huntington, WV. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday November 14, 2016 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Jeff Black and Pastor Mike Smith. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday November 13, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
