Lonnie Dale Black Sr, 85, of Proctorville, OH, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at The Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV. He was born December 11, 1940, in Lawrence County Ohio, to the late Gordon and Pearl (Earl) Black. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Kay Rice Black of 68 years; one daughter Marti Lou Black; one son Lonnie Dale Black Jr. one sister Iris Wanda Black; one brother Lester Black; sister-in-law Linda Black; brother-in-law Denver Graham. He was a member of the Harmony United Methodist Church in Huntington, WV. He was a millman at Connors Steel of Huntington, WV. He loved going to the flea markets, working on cars, and fixing clocks. He enjoyed eating out with his special friends Pete & Pat and taking trips to Gatlinburg, TN. He is survived by two children Tim and Toni (Harshbarger) Black of Huntington, WV; Jason and April (Kinn) Black of Proctorville, OH; eight grandchildren Brandon and Heather Black, Ryan and Jennfier Black, Britani Black, Christopher Black, Abigail (Cole) Spears, Jordan Black, Jameson Black, and Benjamin Black; five great grandchildren Owen Black, Coltin Black, Peyton Black, Colton Spears, and Nadia Black; 3 step grandchildren Mychaela Sudlow, Madison (Donnie) Rice, and Jacob Sudlow; two brothers Gary Black of Barboursville, WV, and “Chuck” Gordon Clayton (Barbara) Black of Middletown, OH; two sisters Thelma Lorraine “Doodie” Graham of Hilliard, OH, Rosa Jane “Janie” Duncan of Proctorville, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH. Burial will follow the service at Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH. Masonic Rites will be held by Proctorville #550 F&AM at 10:45 AM. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
