Lorna June Klein's Obituary
Lorna June Klein of Huntington, WV, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026. She was 90 years old. Born in Ironton, Ohio on Christmas Eve of 1935, she was the perfect present for her parents, Julia Layne Wiseman and Quentin Cyril Wiseman, and her brother, Andrew Lewis Wiseman. Lorna grew up in Ironton, Ohio, graduating from Ironton High School in 1953. She went on to business school as a young woman. Soon after graduation, she began her career at CSX, where she remained a loyal employee until her retirement. At CSX, she met her eventual husband, Robert (Paul) Klein and they were married at Sacred Heart on August 14, 1961. They shared 45 years together until his passing in 2006. Together, they had two daughters, Ramona June, and Paulette Julia, who later gave them three grandchildren, Brandon, Veronica, and Andrew. Lorna kept herself busy and occupied for as long as her body let her. She attended St. Ann Catholic church, Wiseman family reunions, crafting club outings, Woman’s Club meetings, and was a member of the Buford Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution. She had a deep love for animals, sewing machines, and banana splits. Lorna was sharp until the very end. She enjoyed trivia, logic puzzles, and word games to keep her mind active. She had a penchant for names and dates, often telling her life’s stories with impressive detail. She never forgot a birthdate or anniversary, and always had a card ready for the occasion. Lorna enjoyed taking trips and keeping traditions, and always reveled in time spent with her children and grandchildren, whom she loved and supported wholly and unconditionally. Lorna was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, parents, Julia and Quentin, and brother, Andrew, along with many beloved pets over the years. She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Ramona and John McConney, Paulette and Ronald Stanley, and her three grandchildren, Brandon Alexander Stanley, Veronica June Stanley, and Andrew Edward McConney. Funeral service will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2026, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Lorna will be interred at Woodland Cemetery in Ironton, Ohio.
