Louis Allen Clark's Obituary
Louis “Allen” Clark, 74, of Proctorville, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at the Hospice House of Huntington. He was born July 25, 1951, to the late Mac and Carol Jean (Kaiser) Clark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Grover and Minnie Clark and Louis and Beatrice Kaiser. A 1969 graduate of Fairland High School, he went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Marshall University. After spending his early career as the comptroller for Pathways, Inc., he joined his father in 1987 to run the family farm. Currently operating as the owner and president of Clark Fruit & Vegetable Farm, he spent his entire life, from childhood until his death, growing, harvesting, and shipping produce, specifically tomatoes. He spent countless hours in fields and on tractors, carrying the family legacy that lives on through generations. When he wasn’t on the farm, you could find him cheering on the Herd or coaching baseball. A lifelong Marshall season ticket holder, he rarely missed a football or basketball game, and his enthusiasm for sports didn’t stop with the Herd. He loved sharing his passion for sports with his grandchildren, as well as all the kids throughout the Fairland School District he coached over the years. He spent the majority of his adult life coaching, teaching his players skills that would serve them throughout their lives. Over the years, he coached various baseball teams from Fairland Little League, where he served on the board for multiple years, in addition to the Fairland Middle School team; and this past season, the Fairland High School team. He was also a member of the Rome Church of Christ, where he was surrounded by a loving and supportive church family, especially in the last two months. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia (Blanar) Clark; one son, Drew (Ann) Clark of Proctorville; and two grandchildren, Mac Clark and Edie Clark of Proctorville. The family would like to extend special thanks to close friends John and Connie Brumfield, Tony and Delores Paragon, and Holli Martin for all the love and support during this difficult time; and to his nurse at the Hospice House, Hannah, for her compassionate care during his final hours. Services will be held at 2 pm Monday, June 22, 2026, Hall Funeral Home, Preacher Jordan Graham officiating. Visitation will begin at noon, preceding the service. Burial will follow at Miller Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Fairland baseball team via a special account set up at Wesbanco.
