Mahlon Lee "Bud" Edwards Sr.'s Obituary
MAHLON LEE “BUD” EDWARDS SR., 74, of Proctorville, OH, passed away peacefully at home in the presence of his beloved family on Thursday, December 10, 2020. He was born on July 20, 1946, a son of the late Dennis and Mabel Edwards. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jean Edwards. He is survived by his wife of forty years, Vickie Edwards; two daughters, Kristie Edmonds and Kathy Morrison; four grandchildren, Corey (Anne) Wilson, Kyle (Cassie) Lawhorn, Hunter Morrison, and MacKenzie Waugh, all of Proctorville, OH; three sisters, Donna Brumfield, Rita (David) Nemeth, and Loretta (Mark) Adkins; and a best friend, Marc (Maril) Cassell. Bud was a retired roofer, Army veteran, and a long-time member of the Tri-State Worship Center in South Point, OH. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Tri-State Worship Center. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hoops Family Childrens Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House, or Hospice of Huntington in Mr. Edwards’ honor. “Pay it forward and give a gift to those in need.” The family would like to extend their appreciation, love, and thanks to St. Mary’s Home Health of Proctorville for their endless care, to Marc Cassell for being the best friend a family could ask for, and the love from our Tri-State Worship Center family. Life will never be the same but in the words of Bud Edwards, “I win either way.” Hall Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.
