Mamie Patricia Crager's Obituary
Mamie Patricia Crager, 69, of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away on June 18, 2025 at home, with her husband by her side. She was born December 19, 1955 in Huntington, WV, to the late Billy Joe Collins and Eloise Lykins Collins. Patricia was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She married her husband Greg on June 26, 1973, nearly 52 years ago, in a courthouse in Sparta, North Carolina, on their way to Florida to begin their life together. She had 3 children, Sarah (Robert) Monte, Samuel (Kimberly) Crager, and Seth (Julia) Crager. She was a wonderful mother, and most of all, she loved her grandchildren Zachary and Avary Monte, Elizabeth and Easton Crager, and Rylee and Connor Marcum.
Patricia loved to spend time with her mother Eloise, and all of her family and friends. She loved antiques and collecting teacups and creamers. She loved to cook and play piano. She loved being around children and was a babysitter to many whom she loved as her own. She also worked alongside her husband caring for the homeless and people in need with Link Up Ministries.
She was preceded in death by her beloved father and her brothers, David Raynor, Danny Collins and Joe Collins, and her sister Sandy Chapman Lehoe.
She is survived by her mother, her sister Sally Woodall Collins, sisters in law Barbara Raynor and Kandy Collins, brothers and sisters in law Steve (Sandy) Crager, Timmy (Vickie) Crager, and Ronny (Debby) Crager, and a host of extended family, church family, and friends. She was special to many people.
Patricia's wishes were to start a family cemetery, Collins-Crager Cemetery, and to have a graveside service. Service will be Saturday, June 21 at 1:00 at 888 Township Road 186 in Proctorville, Ohio, with Brandon Roberts officiating.
The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of Huntington for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to them at PO Box 464, Huntington, WV 25709. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com.
