Marcella Faye Hayes' Obituary
Marcella Faye (Crawford) Hayes, 84, of Proctorville, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at home. She was born on August 12, 1935 in Fayetteville, WV to the late Eber and Florence (Roach) Crawford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters Thelma (Mandy) Mauck and Bernice (Katie) Doyle; five brothers Clarence (Jack), Russell (Cooney), Eber (Leo), William (Pete), and Jerald (Bud) Crawford; and son-in-law Bruce T. Shepherd. She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years James Earl "Skip" Hayes; two daughters Bonnie (Bob) Lockhart and Kathy Shepherd all of Proctorville, OH; four grandsons Bruce, Derrick (Jo), Rod (Lori) Shepherd, and Robert (Skylar) Lockhart; seven great-grandkids Allison (Austin), Brady, Hunter, Josie, Logan, Dixie Shepherd, and Rowan Lockhart; one great-great grandson Braxton Giles; and a host of treasured nieces and nephews. She devoted her life to family and God. She also had her church family, which she treasured as her own. She spent her life trying to help others, even strangers. She wanted everyone to know the Love of God. Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH with Pastor Gordon Simpson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
