Margaret "Peggy" Ruth Boster Davidson's Obituary
Margaret "Peggy" Ruth Boster Davidson, 60, of Martinsburg, WV - formerly of Chesapeake, OH - entered into her heavenly abode on Friday, December 30, 2022, at home. Peggy was born on March 10, 1962, in Huntington, WV, the daughter of the late Jack and Mary Pike Boster. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents. Peggy is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Davidson, whom she adored, of Martinsburg; a sister, Panda Powell, of Tyler, TX; two aunts, Sharon Bartley of Raceland, KY; and Sally Linn of Ironton, OH; her former husband Bruce Davidson, and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Throughout her childhood, Peggy grew up in the Chesapeake Nazarene Church where she found her faith in God that carried her through many difficult times. She expressed her faith continually and demonstrated her love and giving heart through her selfless generosity to others and in supporting many personal causes. Peggy graduated from Chesapeake (OH) High School in 1980 and attended Marshall University. Although her favorite color was orange, she maintained her love for Marshall University green, and wore it proudly. She was hired by the Internal Revenue Service and relocated to the Martinsburg, WV area where she retired and continued to reside. During her career, Peggy befriended several of her co-workers and shared many wonderful moments together with them at work and outside of work. She was a kind, loving, sincere and beautiful soul, and she always enjoyed a great conversation with lots of laughter.
Kathryn and Peggy were not just mother and daughter, they were best friends. Both of them loved to attend "paint nights" where they created their very own art masterpieces. Peggy was an avid crochet artist, making wonderful hand-made gifts for her relatives and friends. The two of them enjoyed traveling to interesting places all across the United States. Peggy had visited all 50 states throughout her lifetime, but among her favorite destinations was Amish country in nearby Pennsylvania, where she explored, shopped and enjoyed the musical shows and theatrical performances. Whenever she had the opportunity, she would visit her friends and relatives at her hometown area and might be found taking on a good game of Canasta with her aunts and cousins. Peggy was deeply loved, and her smile and laughter will forever be remembered and missed.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, January 6, 2023, at the Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH, with Pastor Rob Jones officiating. There will be no visitation.
