Marilyn Jo Short 1961 - 2017
Marilyn “Jo” Short, 55, of Chesapeake, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Saturday April 1, 2017 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. Jo was born July 9, 1961 to the late Earnest and Marcella Campbell Phillips. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Short; her parents; her brothers Lester, Whitey, Blackey, and Donald Phillips; a sister Helen Phillips. She is survived by her kids Michael Phillips of Huntington, WV, Heather (Scotty) Ferguson of Huntington; her grand babies Desiree and Scott (Gismo) Ferguson Jr. of Huntington, Steven, Savannah, Stephen, and Shayla Mann of Chesapeake; companion of 18 years Jerry Raines; one brother James “JimBob” Phillips; four sisters Rose Mary Sand of Gallipolis, Betty Judd of Louisville, Florence “Sis” Short of Chesapeake, and Dorie (Bill) Montgomery of Crown City; special friends Ray and Betty Nance, Sharon and Dale Williams, and Donald “Bear” Adkins; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday April 5, 2017 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Mike Triplett. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery, Crown City, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday April 5, 2017 at the funeral home.
